The Candidate Network is a BIA program for employees that have recently been displaced by a BIA member company.
The Candidate Network allows the newly displaced job seeker with an opportunity be able to meet monthly (Zoom) to connect with industry leaders and peers, gain industry information, access education and enhance some skill sets.
The Candidates will be inputted in to the BIA database so they get the same emails that BIA members get and through their participation in monthly meetings gain access to complimentary registration to most events.
Sherry Seaton with Seaton Associates has volunteered to help facilitate the meetings on a monthly basis. Term of the program will be determined by the industry and candidate participation.
Some of the ideas for topics/presenters are:
Using LinkedIn to help find your next job
Enhancing and widening your network
Reviewing your skill sets
Pivoting your career
Some of the benefits of this program are the following:
Employees that are being displaced will have an outlet to be able to stay engaged with the BIA, gain industry information, be closely connected to a recruiter and our Foundation
Employers will have another resource to put in exit packages for employees that are being displaced
Keeping these “members” involved in the BIA during their transition in finding new employment will help nurture further involvement with their new company and if the new company is not a member have an engaged advocate to help recruit that company to join.
