Policy Series: Entitlement Processing, BIA Office
The entitlement process in California not only includes local
governments, but also includes state and federal requirements
as well.
This course will focus on how the state and federal government
requirements work with and against what local governments
are doing.
The focus will be on the federal 404 process and implementation
of the AB 32 requirements by the State of California.

Policy Series: Green Building Programs, University of Phoenix
With AB 32 implementation underway, how do the various green
building programs help or hurt a community’s adherence to
the State of California’s requirements?
This program addresses how the State’s Building Standards
Commission and Energy Commission requirements work and provides
an overview of the green building certification programs including
California Green Builder, Build it Green, LEED and the NAHB
Green Building Program - which of the programs work best for
California production builders?
Finally, the effects of AB32 on our industry will be discussed,
as well as how local governments are dealing with this issues.
This workshop will be facilitated by Bob Chase, Building Official,
City of Sacramento.
